Test Format

Wollack Testing Service, LLC (WTS) publishes reading list promotional examinations for all police and fire service ranks. The format of the reading list examinations enables your agency to design your own custom examination for each promotional rank. Each agency selects up to five police or fire service textbooks from the reading lists which appear in this Test Catalog. The reading lists offer a wide choice of source materials for the promotional examinations.

WTS promotional exams consist of 100 item, multiple-choice (two or three alternative) tests with questions written based on the books you selected. The tests have a 90 minute time limit. Scoring templates are provided so your agency can quickly and easily score the tests.
